Ios is not just a party

The island of Ios has become world famous. Enough so that the parties here have become a self-fulfilling prophecy: Every day new ferryloads of youngsters from all over the world come here with a single thought in their heads (at best). PARTY!!!

But in the inexplicable way of the Greek islands, Ios retains it's charm and beauty still, and is far from destroyed by mass tourism. It is a pearl in the middle of the Aegean sea, and impossible not to fall in love with. If you stay a few days more than most party animals last, you will find some of the most idyllic places in the Cyclades, some of the most beautiful beaches, and most definitely some of the best restaurants. Do not miss the tiny restaurant "Lord Byron", with its eigth tables. Here the food is prepared like it was in ancient Greece, by a chef who is absolutely superb.
