Sunny sailing

Strong winds and racing speed is rarely what a sailing vacation in Greece is about. If you go for two weeks, like most do, you are likely to experience lots of wind, exactly the wind you like, and no wind... But this picture is more representative: A summer's bride keeping the boat on course while the others relax in the sun, discuss this and that, listen to music, play the guitar and sing, take another sip of the refreshing cold can. Or maybe just sit in the shade of the sail, looking at the deep blue sea - wondering if the dolphins will be around today...

Are you one of the many non-sailers who assosciate sailing with a lot of hard work, pulling on sheets and halyards and what's-it-all called? Forget it! That's called racing, and has nothing to do with a relaxing sailing vacation.

And if you react to the scarcity of clothing of this particular crewmember...you are probably American! In Europe, this is the general dress code for offshore sailing during the summer.
